Construction Industry in Need of More Women in On-site Jobs

The Coronavirus pandemic left Texas and most of the country in an economic downturn during 2020. And, as we near the close of 2021, there are industries continue to struggle and fight their way back to prosperity. However, the construction industry is steadily growing in many states across the country, including Texas.
Each year around this time, we dedicate a week to the appreciation of millions of hard-working Americans classified as contract employees. This week at LEAD, we will be showing appreciation to our skilled contract employees each day in various ways across the country.
Over and over again I hear about the construction workforce shortage. I hear about it in the office. I hear about it during meetings with commercial real estate developers. I hear about it on project site visits. I turn on the news and hear that the industry is going to take a hit and that everyone is concerned.
