A collective realization makes small difference possible for families in Puerto Rico

LEAD Staffing President, Mark Curtis’s son took a trip to Puerto Rico with his girlfriend and her family where he asked her to marry him, she said yes!

Unfortunately, the trip turned out different than planned when Hurricane Maria made her devastating entrance as a Category 4 hurricane. It was nearly impossible to get home.

It also became clear that Puerto Rico was tragically impacted. With electricity and water scarce, there was an immediate need for help. However, the demolished roads, ports, and airports are still delaying import of aid.

Mark contacted Paul Hunter, Partner of Odyssey Airways, LLC and President Ryan A. Gucwa, to charter their King Air B-200 to pick up his son and future extended family. While preparing the departure, there was a collective realization. This flight could be filled with supplies for families in Puerto Rico.

Lead Staffing and families who have family members in Puerto Rico made this small difference possible. Everyone worked efficiently to pack that King Air B-200 with as many essential supplies as possible.

Our goal was to make a difference, even if it was a small one.

These efforts would not have been accomplished without the generous support of Odyssey Airways, Partner Paul Hunter, President Ryan A. Gucwa, and Marshall Garcia.

We want to thank everyone who was involved in this effort to make a small difference in the lives of families in Puerto Rico.
