Position Summary:
LEAD Technical has partnered with a leading manufacturing company and is seeking an experienced General Manager/AGM, Accounting candidate that will help to manage the financial risks of the corporation, financial planning and record-keeping, as well as financial reporting to higher management and headquarters and assisting in decision support operations to enable the company to operate more effectively and efficiently, like a stewardship. Increasingly playing a more critical role in shaping their company’s strategic and business leadership with direct responsibility and oversight of operations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review & approve weekly/semimonthly payrolls.
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

- Non-Degreed with five (10) plus years’ experience in a related field

- Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management technique
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving result
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
- Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs. Strong problem solving and visualization skills.
- One to three years of related experience preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing process
- High degree of organization, attention to detail, and able to complete projects on time
- Able to lead projects and work well with others on a team
- Able to exercise a high degree of collaboration and problem solving through verbal communication
- Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.

- Office Environment
- Able to handle stress when workload is high
- Odd hours, occasionally, especially if activity involves a different shift
- Travel for training purposes or supporting other sister plants.
COMPETENCIES:
- Superior data management and data analysis skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets using advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Database Software and Analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Pre-Employment –must pass safety/orientation testing with 70% or greater
- Ability to gather facts, make decisions, determine plan, and follow through with the plan
- Able to draft and edit written materials and correspondence.
