$30.00 to $32.00 Per Hour
Open to all shifts :1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)
Lead Marine has immediate openings for Journeymen Inside Machinist for the Shipyard Industry here in San Diego. This Machinist position will be working in a shop atmosphere on the shipyard. Must have 5 years minimum manual machining experience. Pay is dependent on skills and capability.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Familiar with Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.
- Operate Manual and/or NC machines such as: lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, EDMs, etc.
- Experience with controllers such as: Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati-Milacron, etc.
- Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments: outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, verniers, etc.
- Familiar with threading and the various measuring/gauging requirements
- Drilling/tapping processes
- Familiar with carbide machining processes
- Ability to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Strong math skills
- Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship
