Summary:
LEAD Technical is currently looking for a Production Lead for our client in the North Melbourne area. In this role, you will be leading and instructing machine operators and other production staff in the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing machinery. You will also oversee production to ensure products are flowing to ensure production goals are met. This is an exciting opportunity with a worldwide leader in their space. This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE role that is available immediately. PLEASE NOTE: This is a THIRD SHIFT role (11PM – 7AM).
Responsibilities:
- Work from schedules, production orders and work instructions to assist and direct operators
- Ensure materials are moving through workstations to meet scheduled shipment dates
- Check first pieces to ensure conformance
- Oversee production goals of operators, providing assistance where needed
- Perform basic machine maintenance
- Coordinate operations with other shifts to ensure uninterrupted workflow
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with shop mathematics
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience leading and training in a production environment strongly preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
