Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire.
Salary Range: $25 to $27 an hour.
Location: Chattanooga, TN 37406.
Shift: 3rd shift (11p-7:30a).
 
Position Summary:
LEAD Technical has partnered with a manufacturer in Chattanooga, TN and we are searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician, on a full-time, direct-hire basis with excellent benefits for the 3rd shift.  You would be responsible for repairing machinery, operating plant support equipment, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. Ideal candidates will possess 3 to 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Repairs machines or equipment, dismantling as necessary to gain access to defective parts. making the necessary adjustments to ensure efficient or proper operation.
  • Operate and repair plant support machinery, boilers, softeners, compressors etc.
  • Handle major repairs and liaison with contractors as required.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
  • General industrial maintenance duties.
 
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Required Experience: basic mechanical knowledge and application of compressed air, hydraulics and pneumatics, basic electrical, welding, pumps and preventative maintenance.
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Must be a Team Player and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have own tools (as defined by the Company)
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the job
