The Role:
As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be essential in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products specifically for HVAC and plumbing systems. Your expertise will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and prepare appropriate materials for HVAC and plumbing projects.
- Mark dimensions and reference lines accurately on metal sheets.
- Operate fabricating machines (shears, brakes, etc.) with precision.
- Shape and assemble metal components using advanced tools and techniques.
- Set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
- Install ductwork, VAVs, and other assemblies according to blueprints.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven background in sheet metal fabrication and installation, preferably in HVAC and plumbing.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in shop math and skilled in using tools and machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to visualize and execute complex designs from blueprints.
- Physical Capability: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Clean Driving Record: Required for job-related travel.
- Background Checks: Candidates must pass a satisfactory 10-panel drug screen and a Felony and Misdemeanor criminal history search.
