Summary:
We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in Port Orange, FL. In this role, you will be supporting the design and development of new and updated business, creating designs, collaborating across the business and ensuring product transition from design to manufacturing. This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Work to optimize both structural and manufacturing designs to meet industry and customer requirements.
- Create 3D models, drawing and simulations for structural components
- Identify necessary materials for structural components taking into consideration all factors
- Work on prototype design and test, making adjustments to ensure product meets specifications
- Work within cross-functional teams to help organization hit development goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years experience in manufacturing design engineering
- Solidworks experience required
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities (including structural design analysis tools such as FEA)
- Comfort with various manufacturing processes including fabrication (machining, welding) and assembly
- Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously
