Summary:
LEAD Technical is currently looking for an Engineering Manager for our client in the Rockledge, FL area. In this role, you will be responsible for both technical and engineering support relating to manufacturing processes and problem resolution. This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support manufacturing processes related to the production of induction welded tube production.
- Provide guidance to the team on technical and engineering topics and issues.
- Examine specific problem areas, efficiency opportunities and devise and implement solutions.
- Determine process and equipment modifications required to affect desired changes. Conduct experiments, document results, prepare reports and make presentations to management regarding process and equipment modifications, designed to correct designated problems.
- Implement trials of authorized programs, monitor, measure, examine, validate and report results. Document programs, including procedures, timing and costs. Initiate and implement permanent process changes, manage related implementation projects, working with vendors, manufacturing management and all levels of production, quality and engineering staff.
- Provide production support through process parameter control, process design and changes. Staff training as required to implement new process or equipment improvements, scrap reduction and productivity improvements.
- Respond to and investigate customer product complaints. Examine product or results of product utilization and identify specific problems.
- Examine process and quality documentation. Analyze the data to determine causes for problems, conduct root cause analysis, recommend solutions follow up to implement or support changes. Communicate results to customers and the production team. Document incidents for further review and historical files.
- Equipment validations, safety and quality audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 5+ years’ work experience in engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in induction welded tube manufacturing.
- Working Knowledge of modeling software
- Knowledge of process related standards.
- Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members.
- Good command over the data analysis, snag rectification and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of material sciences, metallurgy, and sensitive metal welding process
- Knowledge of 6-sigma and LEAN manufacturing principles
- Previous experience with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of induction principles (high frequency welding and annealing)
