Quality Control Lab Supervisor 
Position Type:  Full-Time, Direct Hire.
Salary Range:  $60,000-$65,000
Location: Dalton, GA
 
Position Summary:
LEAD Technical has partnered with a well-established manufacturer and seeks a Quality Control Lab Supervisor. As the Quality Control Lab Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of the manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the quality control operations within the lab, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
 
 Essential Job Functions:
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in blueprint reading, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and the operation of advanced measurement tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and optical comparators is essential. You will conduct cut & etch weld analysis and verify measurement accuracy to uphold stringent quality standards.
  • Supervision and Training: You will lead a team of lab technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure their performance aligns with quality objectives. Conducting or assisting in lab training sessions will be crucial for maintaining proficiency across the team.
  • Testing and Reporting: You will be responsible for setting up and conducting testing procedures, meticulously recording and reporting the results. Your attention to detail will ensure accurate documentation of quality control measures.
  • Equipment Calibration and Control: Managing gage and equipment calibration/control according to QS standards is essential to maintaining the integrity of our quality control processes. You will oversee these procedures to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, CAD, and PC DMIS, are necessary for data analysis, reporting, and documentation purposes.
 
 Experience and Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Advanced degree, bachelor's degree, associate's degree in a related discipline, or five plus years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification may be required in certain areas.
  • Experience working with integrated computer programs and applications.
  • Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs effectively.
  • Successful completion of required background checks and pre-employment tests, including any necessary drug tests.
  • Completion of DOJO training with a score of 70% or greater within the first 30 days.
  • Must have experience with CMM
