LEAD Technical – Chattanooga, TN
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract to Direct Hire.
Salary Range: $25 to $30 an hour, DOE.
Location: Cartersville, GA 30120
LEAD Technical is seeking a skilled Industrial Welder (Mig & Tig) for our partner, a machining company in Cartersville GA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Mig and Tig welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This position requires flexibility for unscheduled overtime, averaging 40-50 hours per week, and the ability or previous experience operating a forklift.
Essential Job Functions:
Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English.
Close attention to detail.
Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
Must read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate and weld various parts and assemblies.
Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.
Have knowledge of all welding and assembler operations.
Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
Ability to solve problems.
Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
Ability to safely use specified hands, air, power tools, and machinery.
Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
Must not be allergic to smoke, grinding and dust.
Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
Experience and Education Requirements:
High school diploma.
