Site Development Superintendent

LEAD Staffing is seeking candidates for a Permanent Placement Site Development Superintendent role in the Tampa Bay Area.  If you have at least 8 years of Civil Construction experience and a track record of residential and commercial site development project management, we would like to hear from you!

Duties
  1. Manage field operations for residential subdivision and commercial site development projects to meet and Exceed project schedule, budget, and safety requirements.
  2. Lead and coordinate underground utilities installation of storm, sewer, water, and reclaim pipe.
  3. Organize and plan work with project team to meet contract, schedule, and quality requirements including safety action plans.
  4. Attend regular progress meetings with project team.
  5. Review contracts, project documentation and plans to ensure work in the field is built to specifications.
  6. Oversee field personnel, schedules and all construction operations on site.
  7. Manage field operations and coordinate with other personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
  8. Provide leadership and direction to Foreman and their crews.
  9. Responsible for job performance, safety audits, and enforcing company policies and procedures including training, orientation, discipline, etc.
  10. Lead safety meetings, enforcing safety procedures with crew.
Skills/Experience
  1. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in civil construction is preferred.
  2. Must have the ability to use read and interpret drawings, use laser levels, figure grades, and compute rate, ratio and percentage as needed.
  3. Ability to operate and train employees on heavy equipment required.
  4. Ability to manage and enforce safety and company policies with Foreman and crew members.
  5. First Aid / CPR Training preferred.
  6. OSHA 10 hour or OSHA 30 hour for Construction training preferred.
  7. Ability to have a flexible work schedule to meet project schedule and location requirements.
  8. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  9. Maintain flexibility with changing deadlines and a fast-paced environment, as required by workload and business priorities.
  10. Must have the ability to handle situations independently and in a calm, positive manner.
  11. A valid driver’s license is required.
  12. Bilingual a plus.
