Salary: $28.00 – $32.00
- Perform mechanical new installations, modifications, repairs and maintenance to the yard facilities, utilities, buildings, structures and production equipment.
- Installs and removes temporary portable production support equipment, portable utility distributions and other services on board ships and in the yard.
- Inspect equipment to insure safe and reliable operations.
- Perform equipment service and repairs on equipment using test equipment, hand tools, pneumatic tools and other power tools.
- Fill out various required documents such as work orders, inspection forms, discrepancy sheets, log books and service forms.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned
- Precision measurement, precision alignment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, engine repair, overhaul and equipment operation
- Must be able to read and troubleshoot equipment and systems from schematics, diagrams and other manufacture supplied documents.
- Able to work at heights or in enclosed spaces.
- Must be able to use burning and welding equipment to do minor repairs.
