Job Summary:
As a Material Support Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the shipyard's logistics and inventory management operations. Your primary duties will include receiving, storing, and distributing a variety of materials and supplies used in the shipbuilding process. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain accurate records, process orders, and assist in the coordination of material movements.

You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain accurate records, process orders, and assist in the coordination of material movements.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of materials and supplies
– Organize and maintain the shipyard's warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of materials
– Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for distribution to various work areas
– Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies
– Assist in the coordination of material movements and deliveries to support production schedules
– Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner
– Maintain accurate records and documentation related to material transactions
– Organize and maintain the shipyard's warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of materials

– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
– Effective communication and problem-solving skills
– Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes
– 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role, preferably in a shipyard or manufacturing environment
– Proficient in the use of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
– Effective communication and problem-solving skills
– Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes
